Privacy notice

Short version: I use your details to reply to you, and nothing else. No mailing list, no selling data, no tracking you around the internet.

Who is responsible for your data

Ivanov Digital is an independent business run by Nik Ivanov, based in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire. If you have a question about anything on this page, email nik@ivanovdigital.com.

What I collect

Only what you type into the enquiry form: your name, email address and, if you choose to give them, your phone number, business name, existing website, budget range, timescale and the message itself. Every field except your name, email and message is optional.

If you email, call or message me on WhatsApp instead, I hold whatever that conversation contains, in the same way any business holds correspondence.

Why I use it

To reply to your enquiry and answer your questions
To prepare a quote if you want one
To deliver and support the work, if you go ahead with a project

The lawful basis is legitimate interest for replying to an enquiry you sent, and performance of a contract once you become a client.

What I do not do

I do not sell or share your details with anyone
I do not add you to a mailing list or send marketing you did not ask for
I do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics profiling on this site
I do not set cookies for advertising, which is why there is no consent banner

Who else touches your data

Enquiries are delivered by email through Resend, an email service provider, and stored in my email account. The website is hosted by a standard web host, which processes server logs including IP addresses for security and reliability. These providers act as processors and cannot use your information for their own purposes.

How long it is kept

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within about twelve months. Records relating to actual client work are kept for six years, because HMRC requires business records to be retained that long.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or object to how it is being used. Email nik@ivanovdigital.com and I will deal with it within a month, usually far sooner.

If you are not happy with how I have handled something, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. I would appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Changes

If this notice changes in any way that matters, the date at the top will change with it.
